Winston Community Center--A Place for All!

Construction of the Winston Community Center was completed in January
of 2008 after several years of fundraising by WACP and the community
of Winston. This new facility houses the Winston Public Library,
Senior Center, Teen Center, a public computer lab, as well as a large
meeting room with a stage. The large meeting room can be divided
with folding walls to provide smaller, more intimate meeting spaces.
Also in the building is a large commercial kitchen that is used to
produce meals for senior dining sites and meals-on-wheels throughout
Douglas County, excluding Reedsport.

Friends of the Winston Community Center is a new organization that
recently formed to help in the smooth operation of the center.
Volunteers staff the center each Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
mornings, 9 AM to noon, providing a warm cup of coffee and cookies to
anyone who wants to stop by for a visit and to enjoy the building.
The computer lab is open to the public during this time as well.
